Membrane performance characterisation by single element testing
In support of the work we carry out on developing new membrane cleaning processes, our membrane testing facility is equipped with a facility for the characterisation of individual 8” membrane elements. This equipment is intended for clients that use brackish or freshwater membranes with standard test pressures in the range of 6-16 bar. Using this equipment, clients will be able to exactly replicate the standard test conditions that are quoted by membrane manufacturers' data sheets.
The 8” single element membrane characterisation rig includes the following features:
• System pump range: 9-24 m 3 /hour at 7-16 bar
• Independent flow and pressure control
• Independent pH and temperature control
• Sensitive differential pressure measurement
• Accurate permeate flow measurement
• Flow through water quality instrumentation
